FR 349 "Ocean Way"

FR 349 "Ocean Way"

By the size of the cut out, it seems like the "Ocean Way" change engine on the slip in Macduff. By study of the weldings in the plates in the same area, it seems like they have done this procedure before..

Think his main engine went bang Ole and this would probably be the 3rd engine this boat has had in her life i'd think.

She was built as the Wave Crest BCK217 in 1974 by Herd & MacKenzie's in Buckie. She's listed in the 2006 FVB&I as having a Volvo Penta TAMD122A of 280kw/375hp.

Her sistership the Kemarvin has a Kelvin 208kw/279hp.

So she's 33 years old and on , probably , her 3rd main engine as i'd say the Kelvin would have been the original.
