Thanks for your replies lads, old sentiments die hard.
I was still 16 years old, as 2nd R/O on Laomedon, when I berthed here and still can't forget the warmth of the Liverpudlians, which I know extended to seamen of all nationalities.
Almost married a lovely Liverpool lass but that's another story!

Would not disagre with you. Docking at Huskington,I belive it is, we could'nt wait to get ashore.Across the street was the Dominion Pub which(==D) (==D) served as our first watering hole before heading up town to Paliament Street for us WI seamen. During the afternoon it was the bookie shop just a few doors from the Dominion to play the ponies.
