Four masted steel barque. Lenght 96 m., width 13,10 m. Tonnage 2.365 tons.
In 1911 was sold to the German shipowner Leis

Erikson was a Finn, like Lundquist he was from Mariehamn in the Finnish owned, Swedish speaking Åland islands in the Baltic. And 1956 is a bit late as the date of her end, it should be 1936. Regards, Stein.

PONAPE was taken prize in the Atlantic by the British battleship MAJESTIC in September 1914 and sent to Falmouth. First retaining the name PONAPE under the British flag she was renamed BELLHOUSE in 1915. Only later in 1915 she was sold to Norway.
