I have seen quite a few pictures taken from that spot, some from long ago. (When was the bridge made?) It is a fine scenery, and here well lighted. Regards, Stein

The little port is Hotwells,Bristol. The Bristol Suspension Bridge has been there since around 1864,the idea of engineer Brunel.

Thanks John. Hotwell is part of Bristol and had a railway terminal early I read. Regards, Stein.

Hi Stein,
The pontoon jetty I referred to in my comment on the Valbella photo is just astern of the Grebbestroom which was used as a holding berth in the tidal river until the lock became available.
