No Black Top on the funnel so it must be post-1982. I had it restored for her final commission in 2005. INMARSAT also fitted on the RAS rig so certainly mid-80's or later I reckon. Also the foremast is fitted which I recall was a late addition to the GREY & GREEN. Cannot make out the flight deck shape but still stick with mid-80's(+) time scale.

Definately after 1982, probably mid eighties (+). Fwd gun sponsons are in position and the flight deck has been shortened on the starboard side. I was in "Grey" post 86 refit in Gibraltar when I think the flight deck was altered, so must be after that.

There is a photograph on this site taken of Grey in Bergen during early 1986 without the flight deck modification or gun sponsons. (Thumb)
