That brings back memories as remember her welland her running mates running out of the East India dock to the Channel Islands. Think her running mates were , 'JERSEY COAST' ' (and I may well be wrong ) 'ALDERNEY COAST'.

I also remember with some fondness these ships. I was on the Guernsey Coast for a little time in 1956-7 and also on the Channel Coast which I think became the Alderney Coast.
In my time there were 4 ships in the British Channel Island Shipping Company, the Guernsey and Jersey Coast which ran liner to Guernsey and Jersey on a weekly basis and Channel AND kENT

Stumps, last reply got mixed up so will try again.
I was on Guernsey Coast for some time in 1955-6, and also a little while on Channel Coast which I think became the Alderney Coast.
There were only 4 ships in the British Channel Island Shipping Company, Guernsey and Jersey Coast which ran a weekly liner service to Jersey and Guernsey and the Channel and Kent Coast which operated as trampers mostly for cargo to the channel islands
