Very sad loss to the Navy.

i would have preferred to see one of the new super carriers named ARK ROYAL.

I agree, Prince of Wales and Queen Elizabeth are not carrier names from the past. An Ark, Eagle or Hermes would have better lineage.
Ark is due in for the final time on Dec 3rd.

Ark Royal, Eagle and Hermes, take your pic from the second two but all great names! I'm glad to here she will be entering harbour for a proper send off, I had visions of her just staying alongside from now on..

How about "HMS Gordie and Sarah" and "HMS Cherie and Tone".... yes I did get the names on the last suggestion the right way round.

Fortunately Pat I know you are joking, one needs serious names on Royal Naval ships and not of people who have done the country harm.
