Harmony II

This Ferry (?) is in Ipswich Docks, but it looks as though she has been out of the water a while & ive never seen any work being done on her. Can anyone shed some light on where she has been in the past & if she has a future? Cheers K

Is this the vessel slipped just outside the lock? I wondered what she was.

The former PRINCE ALBERT. First saw her laid up in Tilbury dock during October 1995 and at Liverpool a few years later. A small mention in the November 2005 "Sea Breezes" bought me back to this photo but I note that the title has already been changed to HARMONY II.

Ahoy Bob & Hendy,
this ship has an interesting history having been built as the Yugoslavian inter island ferry " MOSTAR" , IMO 5242627, in 1955 at the Brodogradiliste yard, Pula, Croatia.( hull no. 165).

She is now owned by Pedley Furniture International of Saffron Walden , Essex.
( see http://www.pedley.com/ ) and is in the course of total refurbishment to become a mobile exhibition ship. They design and build furniture for hotels and etc.
I have a photo of her as she was built and will post it shortly.
Regards,
Patalavaca.

Indeed it was the MOSTAR. Sold in 1969 to greek company C. Koulouvatos (Chat Tours) was converted to day cruiser to the islands near Pireus until the mid 70's as the MELTEMI II. Sold again to Epirotiki and renamed APOLLO I kept the same itinerary. In the early 80's it did a stint as a day cruiser around Mount Athos in northern Greece.

Regards,

Alexandros Papayannis
