They made a good job out of making this barque, formerly full rigged, look like an iron or steel sailing ship. Norway did not get into building metal hulled sailers until Randulf Hansen started constructing steel sailing ships in the nineties. And Randulf Hansen was the only one in Norway who ever did. The whaleback encircling the quarterdeck is quite convincing, at least from this distance, and the hull looks smooth.

re Fate of Crew. Presumably if date of abandonment known someone must have reported.
