HMAS Voyager (1)

HMAS Voyager (1) lies burnt out on the beach at Betano Bay, Timor, on 24 September 1942. After running aground while landing Australian army troops on Timor to fight the Japanese, she was scuttled by her crew. They were subsequently rescued by other Australian ships and returned to Darwin.
