Seen departing Portsmouth Tues 10th April 1984, owing to problems with the Rollicker during the tow and weather conditions off Cairn Ryan the journey would take 7 days .

Originally the Bulwark was offered for sale in June 1983 and then withdrawn and again a further two times before her final sale in the Spring of 84. The sale price was £453,600 settled in full before delivery. The Bulwark would make the new owners Shipbreaking Queenbrough Limited a projected profit of £482,400 with steel being sold for £30 a ton and brass £1000 a ton.
The final remains of the Bulwark were demolished in late 1986 in time for the arrival of 4 Tons from Rosyth in the Spring the following year.

Stevo, nice unusual image.
i have never seen any images of her sister Albion whilst she was laid up on the Clyde for three weeks after she was sold to Wilson Walkler (aborted conversion to North sea crane ship). I think she left Portsmouth in 73 went to the Clyde then eventually ending her days at Faslane. Has anyone seen any images from the Clyde period ?

I have only seen images of the Albion laid up in Fareham Creek and arriving at the breakers. Perhaps the local press might have covered the event?
