Looks like she is having a nose job!

Dont know what they are covering up, two capstains and a splash guard, perhaps they are growing tomatoes.

Perhaps she's being prepared for a voyage to "show the flag" at St. Nazaire.

or a thick coat of paint that won't rust too much when she is up the creek next year

the navy sold type 23 to Chile some years ago maybe its not the type 22 tat are to be laid up!

Not sure about the beams on the 22's, been in some real rough weathers and not really known any cracks or panting bulkheads or anything. Maybe for safety.

Naval architects having problems with their slide rules again?

The new beams just look awefull on the 22's, ruined the sleek lines of the last gracefull warship.

Its strange that only Campbeltown has the beams and not the others? ***berland came out the refit after Campbeltown and didnt have the beams.

Maybe its the Rosyth boys adding the steel to avoid putting them onto the new carriers and trying to save money on scrapping the steel earlier?
