Sorry, don't like the dragon motif, never have.
To me it is merely a naff piece of politicking, to appeal to the Welsh vote. It would be the thin end of the wedge, what happens next? Which other ships in the fleet would want to emulate this, and with what.

Of course it is but right now the navy could do with some friends and public support. Communities don't seem to have enough awareness/interest in RN ships so if this helps...

I agree with NickNZ, the dragon motif looks like its being applied with a cheap spray can!, however i hope they carry on the tradition introduced with the 42's and 22's with large funnel badges, i agree its good to have some form of visible local link.

Funnel badges, and the like I have no problem with.
But 'decals' like this, will the RN end up with "Go Faster" stripes, and 'Shaz 4 Dave ' on the bridge windows?

Nick,
As an aside, I was on one ship recently where the lads had kitted the bridge out with furry dice and the ships wheel had a pink fur trim!
The Old Man kept a set of slippers and some pipe baccy up there too!
