HMS DUNCAN

HMS DUNCAN

Looking more like a Type 45 now. Taken at the BAe Govan Yard on 26 June 2010. Launch is still scheduled for October.
The large bottom sections for the carriers are scattered about the yard. Haven't seen sections like that since the heyday of Govan Shipbuilders/ Fairfield yard.

Could someone enlighten me on who HMS Duncan is named after? I'm guessing one of Nelson's Admirals?

Greetings,

NickNZ, have a look HERE also HERE

The first link takes you to the eponymous Viscount Duncan, the second to the last HMS Duncan, a Type 14 class Frigate usually called the Blackwood Class and sometimes the Captain Class.
