We know this ship was not "Clyde Built", but why not bring her to Glasgow & and preserve her for future generations to visit & admire????.

Come on Jim, is the Clyde so small & congested that we can't accommodate a ship of this size, what about Breahead or the new museum of transport or even Irvine ?.

Irvine doesn't have the money and isn't deep enough, ditto for the new museum of transport, and Braehead is merely a pontoon, not suitable for something this size.
All the berths that are deep enough and accessable enough are in use, everything else is either completely silted up, or new appartments are built/being built next to them.
