Wonder where her bell ended up Nick? Do you know if its still in existence?

Hi Tom, apparently the bell is in the Crows Nest officers club, which overlooks the harbour at St. Johns Newfoundland. I would say that was a wonderfully fitting place for it to rest.

Yes, I have family in Canada. My Dad joined the RN in 1938, and his siblings were evacuated to Canada in the same convoy as the Athenia.
I have a photo f my Dad visiting them, when he was on leave after being torpedoed in HMS Nigeria, during the Malta Convoy. He went up from Charleston.
My sister would probably love to see the bell(again), I shall tell her of it's location
