The 2 pictures uploaded on 9 April were taken within a couple of minutes of each other from the same launch. I put them in since someone on an earlier gallery comment of someone elses VANGUARD was trying to work out where she was moored.
I have just uploaded a couple of shots of her a year or so earlier when she was in much the same condition but lashed alongside at Portsmouth. I do think that the gash shute (?) on the port quarter looked a bit incongruous, I'd be pleased to know if it served some other purpose.

The Vanguard generated a lot of paperwork as by this time she was just a set of floating office's, that I do remember, the unclassified stuff went into the attached gash bin whilst the classified stuff went into paper sack's to be burnt ashore in the Dockyard incinerator. Somewhere along the line I picked up a Murray Code Tape Drawing of a Cat if anybody has a Teleprinter, it still after all these year's appear's to be ok as it was wound in the Military fashion(Thumb). Engineer's are natural hoarder's, (LOL) I found it in an old leather Briefcase in the Loft
