Can I play with it in my bath tub??

My colleague, who's worked on the Victory, says that that is a "cracking model"!

I’m not sure if the model is still at Chatham, as I didn’t notice it when I was there in June. But it is well worth a look, not sure what it was built for, as its no airfix kit, she about 12 to 15 feet tall and in excellent condition.

Phil you are right this superb Model was infact built in Chatham Dockyard,methinks it was a shipwrights apprentices show piece.

There was also a model of this size of the Victory built for the Film 'Nelson and lady Hamilton' and that one was presented to the US Naval Academy.

To get some idea of the size of this model compare the ship to the door in the back ground!

WOW! Is this Nelson's HMS Victory or the 1737 HMS Victory?

HMS Victory model made for the 1941 film, "That Hamilton Woman" Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier, indeed Nelsons flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar.
