Oh the Hollypark! My grandfather, Louis Grima, sailed on this ship Stan in 1954. He signed on the 'Hollypark' on the 14th of September, from Cardiff. They went to Victoria (Argentina), loaded iron ore and headed back to the UK. They stopped at Las Palmas for bunker. He payed off on the 1st of November 1954. He says that at Victoria they had problems with a mooring line. Their Dutch Bosun went to see what had happened, and very unfortunately, the mooring line being under such tension snapped and hit him so hard in the face that he was thrown flat on the deck.
Any ideas when this photo was taken Stan?
Regards,
Ken
