Thank you, today local informed ? scuttlebut is that she is in for repair as the local fishermans co-operative will not let her land at the fish berth, again local fishermen say she is not allowed to dredge on the scallop bed 17' off Newhaven, in my day it was trawling with otterboards or doors side trawling from Fleetwood in the 50's
I don't think these huge scallopers are too popular with many fishermen around the UK as due to their nomadic nature & their immense fishing power it does rather look like a "rape & pillage" situation.
It may not be long before scalloping is frowned upon by the general public.
English nature have already tried to close large parts of Lyme bay to scallopers & Waitrose are considering stopping selling dredged scallops.
