The date of the postcard according to the Rotterdam archives is abt. 1900. It shows the signal-post for the ships leaving the New Waterway. In the newspaper of 28th March 1872 I found the announcement regarding the erection of the signal-post with an explanation. I have added the announcement to the photo.
