1,520 passenger Catamaran type ferry and RoRo ferry for 375 cars or 50 artic-trucks and 120 cars. 4 stern doors.
19,638g. 5,891n. 1,500d. 126.6 x 40.0 x 27.5 height & 4.5 draught metres.
Two General Electric LM2500 and two LM1600 type gas turbines by Kvaerner Brug AS, Norway, double reduction geared and driving four KaMeWa steerable water jet propulsion units. 67,975 BHP. 42 Kts. Two Contra-rotating KaMeWa type bow thrusters.
11.3.1996: Keel laid as STENA ENDEAVOUR by Finnyards, Rauma, (Yard No. 407) for Stena Ab, Sweden.
14.12.1996: Launched as STENA DISCOVERY.
17.4.1997: Completed for Stena Line B. V. Hoek van Holland.
2000: Sold to Stena Line Ab., (Stena Line Holland B. V., managers).
2001: Sold to Stena Line Ships B.V., Hoek van Holland.
4.2009: Northern Marine Management Ltd, appointed as managers.
6.2009: Sold to Albamar CA, Venezuela and renamed HSS DISCOVERY, under Bahamas flag.
1.2011: Marine Outsourcing CA, Venezuela appointed as managers.
2015: Reported as in continued lay-up

Of this trio; this one laid up; One broken-up and the third recently or imminently to be withdrawn from the Holyhead route. There is a smaller version STENA CARISMA that is/was trading Sweden/Denmark.

The Stena Explorer is still here at Holyhead at the moment.
