Appears to be extra height security screening added to the Poop deck rails, this wasn't there 63 - 64 though it was needed on the emergency steering deck house, below which was the Pool Attendants office, that little unit aft of the Tourist Pool. She was still a 2 class ship then.
The crowd of Young "Bloods" and sporting types we had onboard travelling from Sydney to Tokyo and the Olympic Games delighted in jumping off the Steering Bridge into the tourist pool, contrary to the signage and the safety of other pool users.
If , as always I had to call the Bridge for help to stop these thrill seekers they would send a pimpely faced Cadet to my aid and on each occasion the pimpely faced cadet and the pimpely faced Pool attendant could only keep other passengers back a safe distance till the YB's tired of their sport. otherwise good sailing on Iberia. Thanks for posting historystudent who couldwellbeyoungbloodsportingtypethrillseeker
