Is this a listed building Steve? I notice a few of the buildings around that area have been demolished but the ice factory still stands there, (slowly falling to bits).

The ice factory is classed as a listed building, and originally I thought this was a good thing, because all of the machinery was still intact. However it is in such a state of disrepair that I can see ABP applying for it's demolition. Probably to use the area as a container park. They wanted to fill in the number 2 dock where the deep-water trawlers used to land, but there was an outcry from the marina and other bodies and this did not happen......yet! Once a water area such as that has gone, then it has gone for good.

Are they not about to make a film in this location? Used as a set for a French port in W.W.II?

They did this about three months ago filming Atonement. To make the area look like a WW2 bombed out scene did not need much assistance!
