Hi Alan
Enjoy your shots of Portsmouth Harbour from the Spiniker Tower, what a great vantage point. How long has the Tower been built and what is its main function?
The flats in the foreground look new. What was there before them?
It's many years since I visited Pompey and none of it looks familiar!
Cheers from Aussie

HMS Vernon. Gunwharf Quays was developed on the site of HMS Vernon, which closed in 1986. HMS Vernon was the centre for development and training of torpedoes and torpedo men for the Royal Navy. Around the gunwharf site you will see torpedoes, made safe, displayed as works of art. In the Old Customs House pub there is a large number of HMS Vernon artifacts on display, including maps and photographs.
