thanks for photo. served my apprenticeship at J.L.Tompson and worked on this ship then. The Superintendant engineer vowed that his company would never have another ship built at our yard because the ship was so awful! He was a really nice bloke and I could never understand why he took the view that he did. If he is still alive, I hope he reads your notes. Thanks again it was great to see it again and read your comments.

Hey Tom, thanks for your comment. I guess history always wins out in the end and the Iron Endeavour proved a commercial success, for BHP anyway. Sad end though, and sad that the old JLT yard is long gone too. Cheers.
