Can any of the members tell me if this is Connell House Singapore.
I remember the feeling of being walled in or fenced in, with cicada's chirping in the greenery when last I swam there in the mid fifties.
It is definitely the Far East as the web site was solely about Asia.
Most of 'em Straits Shipping shields if I remember correctly. Spent 10 days here in the early sixties waiting for a ship. "Tobys Paradise", at the end of Anson Rd. and every day sitting around the pool, a memorable holiday.
This is CONNELL HOUSE ,i spent many days there for showers and was better than being made to use dirty toilets in the dry dock while we were being repaired .
I was on the MV WOODBURN at the time and managed to get to close to the HORSBURG lighthouse ,ripping the ship open down to number three hold, resulting in spending several months in Singapore,.well in 1961 it was agrand place ,need i say more.
