The Channel Pilots maintained a pilot launch based at Margate for many years. When I started in 1966 they had the "Whiteness" an ex-RAF launch and later this one. Is it the Nayland? And what happened to it.

Spit. taken over by T.H. in 1972 after the Thanet Motor Boat Co. got into financial difficulties. Transferred on loan to Lowestoft in June 1974 sent to Harwich Oct. 1975 pending sale. Sold to P. F. Horlock ex River Stour Pilot for £1350 on 31:12:75. Later sold to owners on the Clyde.
