MARAMA was only on the Pacific Islands run for two years. She entered the trade in January 1978 after the charter of UNION SOUTH PACIFIC ended and was herself replaced by ships of the Pacific Forum Line at the end of 1979. She then traded on the Tasman until her lay up in Wellington on 24 December 1983.
