About time too Debra (Jester) I have missed your lovely pictures. This is beautiful, (Applause) the reflections in the sea are very good. Only one complaint - not a seagull in sight!!
Thanks ha ha that is very nice of you to comment so quickly...ach you know me, can't stay away from the brush too long...I have a few stashed
Oh there are some seagulls.... in the far distance...thought about putting a few close up or wee fishy or something but decided since it was more a scenery painting that it would spoil the effect ! Pity the figures rod-fishing on the pier don't show up in the photo, they were a laugh to do !
I've invested in a new medium today so watch this space !!! ....It was time for a change !
Debra
Great to see you back Debra. There is something about this one that says you have tweeked your style a bit. Can't quite put my finger on it, but it really comes across. Very refined. Look forward to seeing more.
Thanks Leslie, Bob, Rob, Anthony,Paddy and Don, that is so kind...I just finished it the night before last and I really caused my fingers a lot of painful swelling doing this one...the reason it is different Don is because it makes SUCH a difference doing what YOU want to do instead of what others' would like to see...hence the reason it's another BUDDING ROSE type of painting ! I far prefer working on my own ideas, though I have to thank Rob for this one as I had planned to paint it for months and it was Rob's encouragement that got me back to painting again ! So thanks once again Rob ! Don your own are fantastic and I enjoy looking at every one when I am on here.... I see us all changing styles a wee bit...I suppose it is "growing" ha ha, and anyway who wants to look at more of the same I say !!!
Many thanks, and especially to those of you who are well ahead of me in compostion/materials used...unfortunately painful knackered joints prevent me so much.
