This is very interesting Alan ,when I joined the board the head office was in High Street and years later moved to Station Street . My office there had the Kelly flag woven in the carpet ,no expense spared in those days.
Cheers

I remember both offices, but was only in the one at High Street. If I remember correctly it had a very large black and white scene of Queen's Quay. As you mentioned, no expense spared back then. Regards, Alan.

Seaforth Maritime in Aberdeen offices -- and the ships -- were carpeted with the dark green Seaforth tartan. It looked great.

Very nice Letterheading , woven carpets etc , Seems no expense spared ....in the office that is . Projecting a great image BUT ......What about crew comfort on board their ships . No woven carpets . I, ve been aboard a few of them, visiting , thank god and they were pretty spartan i can you . All big companies were the same . The captain/ owner had his moments , but conditions were much better , I can vouch for that ,
