A group of us went round the temples just after heavy rain. We thought it more interesting than shopping, a major past time during the day. Night time was a different matter!
I know theguy in the middle, sailed with him when he was Ch.Mate - I cannot for the life of me remember his name If its who I am thinking of, he hailed from Cornwall?
Rgds.
Dave
Hi Dave. I can't remember anyones names but I have a feeling that from left to right we have a middy, your man who I think was a senior middy or 4th mate, third one a junior engineer as was "Taffy" and the last guy was probably from the local shipping agent.
Hi Norman, I recognised the guy on the far left but thought he was an engineer cadet, don't know the name. I was on the Glenlyon the Christmas/New Year before (1964/65). The captain then was the infamous Willie Hole....nuff said! Don't think that was him in your other photo but I may be mistaken. I've had a few sleeps since then. Nothing in your Discharge book?
Hi Mike.
You are more than likely correct about the guy on the left. I never bothered to read who's signatures showed on the last column of the discharge book. It looks lie D. Stewart both trips between 26.7.65 and 18 2 66.
Regards
Norman
