Another Gem Blyth Spirit!
The tugs are in the 'Lawson-Batey Tugs Ltd' funnel colours are 'Joffre & Homer'.
The Homer is identified by the galley 'H' chimney behind the mast and the bridge structure.

Mike, from not so sunny Blyth

Up untill quite recently Blyth was unknown to me untill my friend said he came from there, the pictures that have been taken are of interest to me and will definately be to him.

Thank you for taking the time to post, Andrew.

Excellent photo.. KAISER-I-HIND was a familiar ship to me during my schooldays as I saw her a few times in Tilbury Docks...
During 1938 I made a few trips in a coaster CAMROUX 1 .. Thomas Ward's shipbreakers at Grays with scrap iron for Blyth and a return cargo of coal to Fulham London...
I saw KAISER-I-HIND in Blyth in process of demolition..
The photo is dated 29/5/1938 - so taken on my 17th birthday.
Long time ago..............
