Thr Russian reefer "Kandava" at Bluff. Built by Scotts at Greenock for Geest Industries she was delivered in 1972 as "Geestcrest". In 1981 she became the "Kandava" and on 15 October 1993 arrived at Chittagong to be broken up.

Sailed on her 1981 when she was Geest Crest, this was just before she was sold. Looks in good shape here. Any idea when this photo was taken?

1993 sold for breaking up. Evergreen Ship Breaking Industrie, Sitalpur, work begun 22-10-1993.

I think the photo was taken in 1985 but can get an exact date if you wish. In the meantime I have posted another of her showing, as you say, she is in good nick.
