Nice boat, although the name Trawler attached to these boats by eager salesmen seems a bit misleading. Wood, or fibreglass hull?
Mine was wood, based on Maryland fishingboat hull but a bit smaller, bridge further back.
Personally for the waters in your neck of the woods I'd rather buy a real fishing boat and convert it...
That's part of my retirement plan, to move to Scotland and watch the sea fly over the rocks :)
I'd go Orkney's but the beer prices there might be too high [=P]

Hello Bearsie,
If I were you I would stick to mainland Scotland aswell,Orkney and Shetland prices are quite high,as everything is imported.
Fuel prices in Aberdeen for petrol 84.9p per litre,
Fuel prices in Shetland for petrol 97.9p per litre.

Good luck,whatever you decide.
Cheers,

Gary.
