Tug 'KILDA' moored off Greenwich Hospital on the River Thames.
This pic was taken from the deck of PS Waverley on a WSS Thames Cruise on 6th May 1979.

A bit of history, with thanks to 'The Liquid Highway' ( for the following information :

1961 : Built by Henry Scarr Ltd at Hessle nr Hull, as FOSSA for Gaselee & Sons Ltd, London (83 GRT, single screw diesel, 1000bhp)
Subsequently in ownership of Cory Towage Ltd, then London Tugs Ltd, Alexander Towing (London) Co Ltd, and Darling Bros Ltd, all of London, who named her KILDA.
Sold in 1987 to Alan C. Bennett & Sons Ltd of Rochester, and renamed MAMBA
Sold in 2002 to Simon Bradley, who converted her to houseboat at Port Werburgh on the Medway
Sold in 2002/3 to Aaron Hammond.
She was put up for sale later in 2003, no record if that was successful, present (well, 2008) whereabouts unconfirmed, possibly still at Port Werburgh.
