Aye Gordy,

Thats a right blast from the past, I remember this old lass well, this would have been taken around the late 1960's to 1070's. Where all that rubble is, the WA Maritime Museum is now on that site and where the Koojarra is, the former RAN Sub, HMAS Ovens is on permanent display.

Brings back memories Gordy.........the fun and games we had getting them on and off the slip with no engines and the State Ships Master doing the piloting.
Old steam tugs too that could not pull the skin of a rice pud.
Ah Happy Days.............

Gordy,

They certainly were. among others were the Koolama, Cafarelli,( my spelling might be wrong with that one) Kanimbla, then they updated to the Nyanda, Wambiri and Beroona, then came the big one, Irene Greenwood, then the State Governments next brainwave, was those small flat bottomed things, green in colour, Mary Durack, the other two, escape me just now.
