Laid-up ships in Eleusis Bay

Laid-up ships in Eleusis Bay, about in 2002. We can see "Silver Star", "Express Hermes" (ex: "Bari Express"), "Queen Kalliope" (ex: "Kamiros") and "Medina Star" (ex: "Saint Killian II")

Another great picture, Sifnos!
The SILVER STAR still exists today. However, it lies capsized in the Chao Phraya river in Bangkok, Thailand. When the ship keeled over, it was called the SIRITARA OCEAN QUEEN. Take a look at this picture:

Apparently, it capsized when the river flooded.
Most of the wreck was removed soon after, however some sections of hull still remain.
This used to be a Mikhail Kalinin class ship. She had a major facelift sometime in the late 70's.
Hope that helps.
Cheers
Henry
