Thanks for sharing this rare view of her early days--of course she is much better known as RELIANCE from later in life. But she was never named RESOLUTE--that was her sister ship, originally the WILLIAM O'SWALD, then BRABANTIA. The two sisters stayed together for most of their lives. RESOLUTE became the LOMBARDIA during WWII and was bombed and sank at Naples in 1943.

The information say: 27-07-1926 Sold to Hamburg America line > > together with her sistership "Resolute" < < , so I have missed half the line.

As originally built, she was 19,980 GRT. Later tonnage given as 19,618 GRT.
