This type of vessel given their size and the range they travel tend to be very good sea boats. When I was at sea and in the bad old days when fishing vessels from Japan and other parts of the world were operating just off the coast of NZ we would see many of them in heavy weather , we'd be getting a right old battering and they would just climb over most seas, kicking their heels up and sliding down into the trough then popping up again. Given the number involved in those days particularly in the squid fishery, occassionally the odd one would run aground the crew turned in and old "Iron Mike" at the wheel or fire aboard was another problem. A number of this type of vessel are operated here in NZ but not being designed for tall people the deckhead is a bit low which can make life a little uncomfortable for some.
Regards
Emmanuel
