Lochgoil (all one word) built by Harland and Wolff at their Govan shipyard under hull number 516G as a passenger/cargo vessel of 9462 gross tons for Royal Mail Steam Packet Company. Launched 24th August 1922 and delivered 14 December 1922. The only sisters I can find as built by H&W is Lochmonar, yard number 517 which was built in Belfast and Lochkatrine, yard number 508 built in the Clydebank yard but engine supplied by the Govan works. There is a Lochavon built by H&W at Govan but she was much later, yard number 999 built 1935 and was a different tonnage (9024) I hope this helps.

Plenty of derricks there (22) and if they were latticework as mentioned by Stan, what a workup they would have been, (painting them that is)
