This pic is of the 1941 built "Manchester Trader". The 1955 built "Western Prince" did not become "Manchester Trader "until 1963 when this one was broken up.

When I was on the "Worcester" my best pal's father was Master of this ship. One holiday (1954 or 55 ) I stayed with him in Manchester and the ship was due.
We both had a trip up the Manchester Ship Canal on it, a real treat for 15 year olds mad keen to go to sea. Even survived the leg pulling about "Daddies Yacht".
Happy memories.
