CEYLON220 Yes I know what you mean. The colour didn't come out too well. The boot top turned from red to pink, likewise the decks. I sailed on her a number of times as ETO. We had a mixed bag of Senior Officers, Brit C/E & ETO , Bangladeshi Captain, Spanish Chief Officer and Polish 1/E. Great bunch. The main engine was an MAN B&W 7 cyl 800mm Bore Max power o/p was 31,920 BHP she also
had 3 MAN B&W Holeby d/Gs 1011 KW and 2 x 50,000kg/Hr 16kg/sqcm 2 Drum Hyundai Marine Watertube boilers.

When the RN lets women enter the submarine service I expect the colour will be changed to pink for the boats that are manned by the fair sex!!!!!

She was green boot topping and blue hull when I was on her in 2001/2. Scottish old man and me as 2nd mate only Brits rest were East european/arb/phillipino offs.Crew mixed bag.
