The Mauritz docked in Birkenhead at Midday on Wednesday down to her marks, and the full cargo was discharged onto the quay by one grab crane. The Mauritz sailed today at 09.30

I dont know Boatman. They usually discharge Bentonite at this berth, directly into a hopper feeding a long line of trucks. Bentonite however, is very absorbent and they always stop work if it rains.
So this stuff, although it looks like Bentonite, must be something else.

Whatever it is, they are in no hurry to shift it. It is a fine consistancy and I think it may be finely ground pumice.
