She is being patched up, for being scrapped, from what I have read in another forum.

Great Picture!
Built in 1948 as the DJEBEL DIRA at Swan Hunter and Wigham Richardson, Low Walker, Tyneside (Yard no 1854). In 1970, her name was changed to PhOENIX and was completely reconstructed as a cruise ship.
Then in 1979, her name was changed again to MELODY. On the 6th of July, 1990, she was gutted by fire while berthed at Keratsini. Fearing that the fire could spread onto the quayside, the port authorities towed the burning ship away from the port and beached her at Atalanti Island. The vessel became a derelict and remained there for nearly 20 years.
The wreck was removed a few years ago.
This is one of my favourite ships.
