spot on Davie. Built for David Aitchison of Burnmouth, 50 ft, Gardner 6L3B. Sutherland winch and Beccles coiler mounted aft of the wheelhouse. Uncommon elsewhere, but a few Burnmouth boats had this layout- Braw Lads BK20and White Heather III LH82 were two others. Was also the first British boat to be fitted with Decca Simrad Basdic fish finder. Later became Ribhinn Og SY410 at Stornaway, ending up at Port Seton and decommed there in 1994.
I sailed with a 3rd mate in Brocks in the 60s ; Alec Smith from St. Monance ; his father was the owner of the yard at the time .
We had a notion to buy a " Fifer " hull and outfit it ourselves then go " sail about "
As usual when it came to finances we realised we better stay at sea !!!
