Hi Allan and Adrian, I have just posted a photo of the real thing, I think that there are 3 of these self propelled cranes operating on the Elbe in Hamburg, they make an impressive sight as they motor along the river.
Regards, Steve.

looks as though it's hull is a "springer tug" hull.......a stand off semi scale "pusher" tug type, that originated as a model hull from[I think, the USA]

it's NOT a "real" ship hull design as such, but plenty of people build plenty of derivitives of it and in all shapes, sizes and configurations of the hull.
actually as a model it is very stable and often built as self righting, funily enough.(Thumb)

Despite all the "stability" remarks, a lot of work went into this model, and the quality of that alone deserves a mention? Well done to whoever built it.

If I knew who built this I would have gladly have mentioned his name ) ..... `working models` , I couldn`t agree more ....... a beautifully made model, hence the reason for adding it to my `gallery` so others could appreciate it too )
