Molda_1937_wreck_Magellan_february_2003

I took this photo in February 2003, while cruising the Chilean coast on board the Norwegian cruise vessel "Nordkapp", returning from the Antarctica.
The vessel was built in 1937 as "Molda", for the account of J. Ludwig Mowinckel in Bergen.

Hi Feistein and everybody with knowledge of marine legislation. I remember wrecking my first car, well outside the road, and being told by the police that I had to remove it within 24 hours or face a fine. Are there no such laws for ships? Stein

Hi feistein,
what a remarkable photo, thanks for posting it .

The ship seems to have lasted so well considering her situation, but how ,
Asnyk, can you say she " broke her back and sank "???

Here she is photgraphed in 2003 with no apparent hogging, in ONE piece & definitely not SUNK ..............!
Can I suggest you put your spectacles on ? (Smoke)

Regards,
Rick
