Would she have been capable of undertaking the delivery voyage under her own steam? Many vessels for colonial river service built in British yards were designed for disassembly and following builders trials were taken apart, shipped in sections (followed later by machinery boilers etc) to the destination port and reconstructed locally.

The MORIAAN sailed between Banana and Vivi (located opposite of Matadi). Duration of the trip: 3 days.

Launch date in April so if she did sail south to Matadi it would have been a summer passage (coastal hops and sheltering where necessary) A possibility?
Apparently "NAHV controlled the Dutch trade with West Africa, owning 75 factories and posts north and south of the port of Banana and along river Congo." She presumably performed some sort of 'feeder' service along the Congo. Ocean going steamers called at Banana.
