Built 1899 ex- North Lyall, 1899 purchased from North Mount Lyall Copper Co. and renamed Moura, 1915 sold to Douglas SS Co., Hong Kong, renamed Hai Hong. 2,027
I have her built in 1899 by Armstrong Whitworth as North Lyell for the North Mount Lyell Copper Company to operate a passenger and cargo service between Melbourne and Strahan, Tasmania, but sold to the Union Line the same year and renamed Moura.
She was for a time placed in the Sydney - Hobart trade before before being moved around the various services of the company.
Sold in 1915, she was renamed Hai Hong.
In 1928 she became the American Mactan.
She was sold for scrap in 1956
I have an almost identical photo of the vessel and it appears to be a copy of the above but is slightly darker in detail.
